             Occupation:
             Government Security Adviser- Government Security Centre- People &
             Physical (GSCPP)- Home Office.

             Security, Board Director and Other Relevant Experience:
             Rob has progressed from a Security Officer to a Chartered Security
             Professional (CSyP), holding strategic roles within the private and
             public sector. Rob acknowledges that the Institute has supported his
             Continual Professional Development and career progress to the highest level. He studied and
             gained the Foundation, Batchelors and Masters degree in Security & Risk Management with the
             University of Leicester.

             Rob now works as a Physical & Personal Security Adviser within the Home Office as part
             of the Government Security Centre- People & Physical, tasked with raising the standard of
             security across government as part of the Cabinet Office ‘Transforming Government Security’
             programme.

             Date of Joining the Institute: 2015

             Previous Security Institute Involvement:
             Former Chair of the Security, Education, Accreditation, Training & Standards (SEATS) SIG, current
             member of the Business Continuity, Emergency Planning, Crisis Management & Resilience
             (BECRES) SIG  and newly appointed to the Validation Board.

             Areas of Interest in the Institute:
             Raising the levels of professionalism across both the private and public sector and promoting
             security as a science in its own right.


             Personal Comment:
             The Security Institute has supported me throughout my career and I would like to return that
             support. The industry is progressing towards professionalism, I believe my skillset can provide
             an impact towards the strategic aims of the Institute whilst also representing and supporting the
             members of the Institute within government security.
