Event Overview
Radioactive materials are used across many sectors and beneficially impact our lives in many ways whether that be in the health sector for specialist medical examinations and treatments, or the agri-food sector for irradiation and sterilisation of seeds and food products. However, malicious actors may seek to utilise these materials in order to cause harm to people and the environment. This webinar brings together academic, policy, and industry specialists to provide an overview of the global threat landscape; the UK policy on radiological material security; and specialists delivering a novel threat reduction programme seeking to eliminate highly active radioactive sources.
