All existing members are encouraged to recognise their continuing career development by progressing to higher grades of membership by revalidation. The levels of progression are:
The normal validation process is followed, and we endeavour to protect your identity during the process to ensure a fair outcome. Your existing membership grade will remain in place until a new grade is approved. If you are successful, then a replacement membership certificate and membership card will be issued. Your annual subscription fee will increase in the month you normally pay.
If you are considering revalidation and wish to know your original score, please contact our Membership Manager Paula Stanbridge, who can provide this information. Paula is also happy to review and offer feedback on completed applications prior to formal submission to the Validation Board.
Current Associates and Members wishing to apply for revalidation should complete the Revalidation Application Form and submit it to the Membership Manager, together with any additional evidence since your original application.
Current Student, Affiliate and Graduate members wishing to apply for upgrade should complete either the Standard Route Application Form or the Academic Route Application Form and refer to the Application Guidance Notes. The fee for Revalidation Applications is £50, payable on application via the Institute shop or on 08453 707717 (from within the UK) or +44 2476 346464 (from outside the UK)
