It is about clarity\, credibility and the ability to influence decisions where they matter most. \nThis conference brings together leaders and practitioners to cut through the noise — sharing insight\, experience and practical approaches that help security professionals shape strategy\, build trust and deliver meaningful impact in their organisations. \nDesigned for those working at strategic\, operational and leadership levels\, the conference will explore the key challenges\, opportunities and emerging trends shaping the future of the security profession. Topics will reflect the evolving nature of risk\, governance\, leadership and professional practice\, ensuring content that is both relevant and impactful. \nThe full Annual Conference agenda and further speaker announcements will be revealed soon. \nNew for 2026: Interactive Breakout Sessions\nAs part of this year’s programme\, we are introducing three interactive breakout sessions\, giving delegates an opportunity to explore the conference theme of Influential Security from different perspectives and take a more active role in the conversation. \nDelegates will have the opportunity to take part in one of three sessions: \nIntelligence | Frontline | Early Careers Network \nFrom using intelligence to shape strategic decisions\, to recognising the influence of those working on the frontline\, and understanding how professionals can build influence regardless of seniority\, each session has been designed to encourage participation\, discussion and practical learning. \nWhen booking your Annual Conference ticket\, you will be asked to select the breakout session you would most like to attend. Session allocations and timings will be confirmed with delegates closer to the conference. \nAlready booked? There is no need to take any action. Our Events Team will contact existing ticket holders separately to ask for their breakout session preference. \nIntelligence: Effective Use of Intelligence to Shape and Influence Decision Makers\nHosted by Joey Hills\, Director of Intelligence & Operations\, Mitie Security \nHow can security intelligence move beyond informing decision-makers to actively shaping better decisions? \nThis interactive whole-group session will explore a number of structured analytical techniques and consider how they can be used to understand how best to use intelligence to influence and shape decision-making. \nJoey Hills is Director of Intelligence & Operations at Mitie Security. With 19 years of experience across intelligence disciplines in both the public and private sectors\, he has built intelligence capabilities across five continents for multinational clients. Joey is an advocate for intelligence-led decision-making\, crisis preparedness\, security innovation and thought leadership. \nFrontline: Influence Starts on the Frontline\nHosted by Chris Middleton\, Director\, The Security Institute \nInfluence isn’t reserved for senior leaders. Every frontline security professional shapes how security is experienced by clients\, colleagues and the public. \nHosted by Security Institute Director Chris Middleton\, this interactive workshop will explore how frontline officers influence confidence\, professionalism and service quality\, while considering what prevents them from having an even greater impact. \nThe session will bring the frontline into the wider conversation around influential security and recognise the important role professionals at every level can play in shaping perceptions\, standards and outcomes. \nEarly Careers Network: The Influence Map Tabletop\nHosted by Raegan Moss MSc MSyI\, Senior Security Controller. \nWhat do you do when you know a security control matters\, but you don’t hold the budget\, don’t have the authority and don’t have a direct line to the person making the decision? \nThe Influence Map Tabletop will place delegates into a fictional but realistic scenario involving an early-career security professional whose organisation is deprioritising a control they believe is critical. \nWorking together\, delegates will consider who this individual should approach\, in what sequence and what evidence they need to build influence. Senior professionals will contribute insight into how decisions are made in practice\, while early-career professionals will explore influence as a craft.
