2016 Chairman's Charity

Every year the Security Institute Chairman chooses a charity partner that we work with throughout the year. In 2016 we are proud to support emerge poverty free. We asked CEO Jeremy Horner to tell us about their work:

Emerge poverty free believes in a world where every person has the opportunity to reach their full potential poverty free.

It is this passion that has driven just eight hard working staff – plus the help of many volunteers – to benefit over 80,000 children and adults in east Africa who have sought to lift themselves out of poverty this past year.

To make a lasting difference, we work alongside people in some of the poorest countries on earth to ensure they have the knowledge and resources to put an end to poverty themselves. By using this approach we provide sustainable change that continues after our support has moved on.

Our strategy is based on a variety projects that not only address the specific issues of poverty but also lead to better access to education for children – the key to long term impact. Clean water, better sanitation, improved agriculture, income generation, adult literacy and women empowerment are just a few of the achievements we have helped people accomplish, and we invite you to join us in our mission to see even more people find their path out of poverty.
