17.05.07: SyI and IISec in Talks
International Institute of Security and Security Institute
The International Institute of Security (IISec) and Security Institute (SyI) have announced to their respective memberships that exploratory talks about a closer affiliation between the two organisations have commenced. There is considerable synergy in the work of the two bodies, and together they will look at ways of exploiting their combined strengths.
A consultation exercise is in progress between the SyI Council and the IISec Board, and members of both bodies will be drawn into that process. At all times, the protection of the interests of their respective members will be of paramount importance.
A joint statement to this effect was issued by John Rose (Chairman, IISec) and Bill Wyllie (Chairman, SyI) to the membership of both organizations.
