SIA Members' Forum
A successful inaugural meeting was held at Westminster City Hall, 64 Victoria Street, London SE1 6QP (close to New SCotland Yard) on 19th January at 18:00hrs. Notes from this meeting, which was also attended by Bill Butler, CEO of the SIA, are available now to read (see opposite).
Backgorund to the Forum
Much has been written within the security press about the uncertainty surrounding the future of the SIA, the formation of the new Security Alliance and the future of regulation within our industry. The Security Institute has now established itself as a valued and integral member of the new Security Alliance and is determined to represent the views, hopes, comments and aspirations of its membership, through the Alliance, to the SIA.
The launch of a new and exciting Members' Forum where all grades of Institute membership can have their say and express their views and hopes for the future of regulation, the SIA and our industry as a whole, is one of the key ways in which we will gathering feedback and representing members' views. Institute member Mike White has kindly agreed to act as Chairman for the forum and he will ensure that the views of the membership are accurately reported back to the Board.
To raise topics for discussion and refiew, please contact the Forum Chairman on mjwhite20@btinternet.com. Any member unable to attend a Forum meeting but wishing to make a comment or raise a matter for discussion can contact Mike directly.
Dates for subsequent forum meetings will be announced shortly and full details of all forum matters will also be posted and regularly updated on the Institute website.
