Working with Other Organisations

Lobbying and Activities

We are working with the following organisations:

Security Industry Authority (SIA) - There are a number of key areas where the Regulator offers the Institute opportunities to provide feedback, enter debate, and help to shape the future of regulation in the UK. Whilst they also encourage direct responses from individuals, it is undoubtedly more effective if the Institute as a whole is able to provide collated feedback and arguement, thus representing over 1000 security professionals.

Skills for Security (SfS) - We work closely with the Sector Skills body to develop higher standards and encourage training and edicuation. In particular many Institute members join in Focus Groups on setting and developing National Occupational Standards.
