Royal Charter
The Security Institute worked with the support of the Foundation of Science and Technology to prepare the submission to the Privy Council for a Royal Charter.
There were a number of elements to this preparation, and this page will be updated regularly as plans materialise and preparations proceed. If you have specific questions you would like to have answered, please email Di Thomas.

Still waiting on feedback from the Privy Council. Some questions have been received and answered, and we continue to wait patiently.
List of Non-Objectors
As part of its application, the Security Institute provided a list of those individuals and organisations that might be affected by our decision to apply. We sent over 70 letters to organisations and individuals we believed might be affected, asking for their written confirmation that they had no objection. This approach is standard practice as part of a Charter preparation, and all of the letters received to date have pledged their support.
