- British Standards
- Cabinet Office One of the Cabinet Office's key objectives is to co-ordinate security, intelligence and civil contingencies matters to protect the UK against disruptive threats. The Joint Intelligence Committee, which advises on priorities for intelligence collection and assesses performance against them, is based at the Cabinet Office
- CESG The Communications-Electronics Security Group is the National Technical Authority for advice and services to protect voice and data networks
- Criminal Records Bureau
- Department of Trade and Industry Aims to assist UK businesses at home and abroad.
- Department for Transport Oversees the delivery of a reliable, safe and secure transport system(land, sea and air). The Security Service works with the Transport Security Devision (TRANSEC) of the DFT on issues of transport security and runs security briefings and roadshows jointly with TRANSEC for members of the transport industry.
- Export Control Organisation handles applications for licences to export controlled military and dual-use technology from the UK and therefore helps to prevent the proliferation of WMD to countries of concern.
- GCHQ (Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) is an intelligence and security organisation reporting to the Foreign Secretary and working closely with the UK's other intelligence agencies (commonly known as MI5 and MI6).
- HM Revenue and Customs UK Revenue and Customs is the Government department with responsibility for collecting VAT revenue, customs duties and certain other taxes. It also plays a key role in protecting the UK from illegal imports of drugs, alcohol and tobacco smuggling and tax fraud

- Intelligence and Security Committee provides parliamentary oversight of the intelligence agencies.
- Ministry of Defence The role of the Ministry of Defence, and the Armed Forces, is to defend the UK, and overseas territories, its people and interests, and work to strengthen international peace and security. The Defence Intelligence Staff (DIS) of the MOD is part of the UK's central intelligence machinery.
- Northern Ireland Office Works to secure a lasting peace in the Province, based on the Good Friday Agreement. The Director and Co-ordinator of Intelligence (Northern Ireland) reports both to the Director General of the Security Service and to the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland.

- Action Against Business Crime
- Banknote Watch is a crime prevention initiative informing the public that a stained note is probably a stolen note.
- Crime Concern
- Crime Reduction Providing information and resources for people working to reduce crime in their local areas
- Crimestoppers is the independent charity operating the freephone 0800 555 111 helping to prevent and solve crimes. The scheme allows you to give information about crimes that affect you and your local community.
- Crime Reduction Website is an on-line resource for crime reduction.
- Fraud Reduction website is published by the National Working Group on Fraud on behalf of the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO). This website deals primarily with commercial fraud in a policing context. The information contained in it's pages is intended to provide individuals and businesses on how to recognise fraud, how to avoid it through preventative measures, and how to respond to suspected frauds.
- Metropolitan Police has much good general advise about Crime Prevention.
- Mobile Equipment National Database (MEND). It is estimated over 2,000 Mobile Phones and other items of mobile I.T. equipment are lost or stolen every day in the U.K and 43% of personal robberies involve a mobile phone.Tens of thousands of these are recovered but due to the difficulty of tracing the owner few are returned.
- National Neighbourhood Watch Association (NNWA) is the national charity that supports, promotes and represents Neighbourhood Watch in the UK.
- Raid-control is a new crime prevention initiative that aims to raise security standards in retail premises, thereby reducing the potential for commercial robbery and create a safer working environment
- Safer Places - The Planning System & Crime Prevention", is recommended in the Planning Policy Statement (PPS.1); which states that in planning for the achievement of high quality and inclusive design, planning authorities should have regard to the good practice set out in this document.
- Secured by Design is the UK Police flagship initiative supporting the principles of designing out crime.
